Join the 13 for the 13 – Veterans Day Ruck Challenge

13 miles. 13 folds. 1 mission: Honor our veterans.

Between October 30 – November 11, participants will ruck (or walk, run, bike) 13 miles. Each mile is dedicated to one of the 13 folds of the American flag. At every mile, pause to reflect by reading the meaning of that fold.

You can complete the challenge on your own or with a group — but every participant must register individually to qualify for the patch.

How It Works

  • Register & Donate — Sign up with a $17.76 donation.
  • Ruck 13 Miles — Complete all 13 miles during the challenge window.
    • One-day ruck (popular on Nov 11)
    • Or spread the miles across several days
  • Carry the Flag — Solo or shared within your group. (optional)
  • Read the Folds — Stop each mile to read the meaning of that fold.
  • Capture Proof — Snap photos/videos of your ruck and flag.
  • Share the Story — Post on social media using #RuckForVeterans and tag Operation Patriot Packs.
*Participants may modify as necessary to complete the 13 mile challenge - the point is participation and raising awareness for our Veterans!

Sugar Land Memorial Park Group Ruck

On Veterans Day, Nov 11, a group will gather at Sugar Land Memorial Park at 3:30 AM to complete the final 6 miles together. The route includes a loop around:

  • The Remembrance Tower
  • The Veterans Memorial Eagle

This 2-hour ruck ensures F3 participants can finish together and return in time for Beat Down @ F3 AO “The Rocket.”
